Kutaisi: 2-Day Tour to Zugdidi, Mestia, and Ushguli

Begin your 2-day journey from Kutaisi. Meet your guide between the Drama Theatre and the Colchis Fountain and set off on a scenic drive to Zugdidi. After around 2 hours, arrive in Zugdidi and visit the historic Dadiani Palace. Explore the beautiful palace and enjoy its elegant French-style architecture, perfect for memorable photos. Next, continue to the impressive Enguri Arch Dam, the highest arch dam in Europe and one of the highest in the world. The road to Mestia offers many opportunities to stop for photos and short breaks. Along the way, visit a beautiful waterfall and stop at a viewpoint overlooking one of Georgia’s highest and most iconic mountains — Mount Ushba. By evening, arrive in Mestia, the heart of Svaneti. On the second day, travel to Ushguli using local 4x4 vehicles. Ushguli is one of the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe and is protected by UNESCO because of its unique medieval architecture and incredible mountain scenery. After exploring this extraordinary village, stay in Ushguli for lunch. Following lunch, return to Mestia, where you will meet your vehicle and begin the journey back to Kutaisi.
